The second wave of Lockdowns in Australia during 2021 caused the local music scene to come to a standstill, as well as derailed any enthusiasm to release new music. However, for Ocæn, most of the new found free time was spent writing and recording demos and getting prepared for when we'd be allowed out to see the Sun again.

Rather than leave a whole year's worth of ideas and songs in a folder somewhere to be forgotten, the "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" demo tape is a collection that encomapses the journey of an otherwise static year. The recordings are rough, patchy and sometimes incomplete, but they're an honest snapshot of the time in which they were created.
